Chichi Osuagwu is a somewhat geeky Communications professional who is passionate about impact evaluation. She serves as a trusted advisor by providing communication teams with strategic advice on their content strategy and measurement approaches to optimize, evaluate and increase the impact of their communications strategies.
Chichi has spent time as a Digital Marketing Manager for business intelligence organizations in the UAE, as well as in the global development in Washington D.C putting in a combined tenure of over ten years in the broader digital marketing and conmmunications space
design environment. She holds an MBA from the University of Maryland Global Campus, a Bachelors in Information Systems and Business Studies from Middlesex University London, and is certified by the International Association for the Measurement and
Evaluation of Communications (AMEC).
She is passionate about development and has supported various early child care development projects particualy around water & sanition and education as well as microcredit solutions for women in rural parts of south eastern Nigeria. She believes in the vision of The Sahel Initiative and, in particular, our commitment to empowering rural communities to unlock economic opportunity and improve health through access to clean, and equitable water.
Access to safe water is such a basic human need, and one person not having it is one too many. Having been raised in Northeastern Nigeria, she has seen firsthand the burden and limitations water shortages inflict on women and girls. The resulting inequalities have only increased with the onset of the pandemic and other
insecurities in Nigeria. Being fortunate to work at the World Bank Group, she has also seen the profound impact that access to water and sanitation has in changing lives, creating
opportunities for work, education, and ultimately promising futures. Through the Sahel Initiative, she hopes to play a small part in impacting lives, one project at a time.
